The books lack DJs, and are well read, all the bindings are tight and square, there are no chips or tears, but they are very much handled. The earliest inscription by the author (in Deep Delta Country) places the collector at age 14 in 1944. By 1959, the collector had had a marriage name change and was in her mid- thirties.
