Les Contemplations (Two Volume Set - in French)

Text in French. Red leather spine with five raised bands and gilt title on marbled boards, clean and sturdy. Volume One (Autrefois 1830-1843) has 235 pages; Volume Two (Aujourd'Hui 1843-1855) has 275 pages. Slightly rubbed edges and each volume has a 1cm x2cm rectangle scrape - back of vol.1 and front of vol. 2-apparently from some sort of bookend . Volume 1 spine has darkened to almost black but is still clear and legible. Chip on top of vol 1 spine and chip and tear at bottom..
